This IS possible when you learn to P.A.U.S.E.

THE ESSENTIAL

P.A.U.S.E.

Workshop

for Educators, Leaders and Caregivers Working in and with Schools

A 8 Module Workshop Series to

CARE FOR YOUR SELF AND

UPLIFT SCHOOLS FROM THE INSIDE OUT

An Invitation for You...

Join fellow educators and community leaders (teachers, administrators, mental health professionals and community organizers) for this 8-module workshop to apply the P.A.U.S.E model, personally and professionally.

Discover your power to be calm, connected and effective amidst it all.

Realize your capacity to access Self-leadership and transform the quality of everyday interactions that drive school and community culture.

In this workshop, you’ll practice, implement and experience the benefits of each of the 5 elements of P.A.U.S.E.:

The Challenge:

No matter how hard you try,

it seems it's not enough.

You are a dedicated educator, leader, or mental health provider in your community.  You’ve gone above and beyond.  You've drawn on everything in your toolbox, read the books, tried the strategies, implemented the curriculums and learned about self-care.  But somehow you are watching young people fall through the cracks - distracted, dis-regulated, and…not really learning.  You witness adults in your community polarized by differing  beliefs and struggling to take effective action for the collective good. The day to day demands of professional life leave you feeling frustrated, overwhelmed, discouraged and out of balance. You don’t feel supported or appreciated.  Maybe you are even questioning if you can stick with this profession you once choose with a sense of purpose.  You used to love what you do…. Not so much anymore.. What to do?

Something has to shift… This isn’t sustainable. What do you need?

First, you need space to acknowledge your experience and appreciate your real effort.

Then, you need to figure out your authentic pathways to reconnect with yourself.  It would be a game changer if you could recenter and reset, even on those crazy, button pushing days!

You need a practical approach to support young people, colleagues and community members through the challenges and changes of life - a tool that is responsive to the unique characteristics and context of each person - not a just cookie cutter list of things to say or do.

You’d love a different way to understand and respond to your colleagues when there are those bizarre misunderstandings, underlying tensions, and even overt conflict… so you could work together to address the real issues you all face, rather than against each other.

And in your wildest dreams, you wonder if there might be a fundamentally different way for everyone to show up in school and work life, a new way to be amidst all you do.  For this, you’d be “all in” on a fresh paradigm to get what really makes us tick and how we can collaborate for the greater good.

Deep down you still care deeply about your profession and need hope that there is a way to come together to restore what is precious and essential at the heart of your work.

Would you believe it if you discovered that right now you are reading about a workshop series that actually delivers this paradigm shift, this new way of being you are looking for? Because, you are!

P.A.U.S.E provides the simple but profound transformation you are looking for in school, family and community life.

By practicing P.A.U.S.E. moment to moment, you cultivate your capacity to access your core self, respond productively to others and collaborate harmoniously, in school, work and beyond!

The 5 essential elements of P.A.U.S.E. can be applied to improve:

  • Personal well-being. Grow your capacity to be calm and confident while juggling multiple demands.

  • Everyday relationships. With students, clients, family members and staff you can be effective and compassionate, even in those tense, complex interactions.

  • Group collaboration. Address the real challenges and conthat bog down productivity. Make changes and release joy in your community.

P.A.U.S.E. let's you access your innate resources and you realize your power to be calm, connected, and effective together as you navigate the challenges of school life.

The P.A.U.S.E. model is inspired by IFS (Internal Family Systems). IFS is a breakthrough framework to nurture self-compassion and healthy relationships. It is a non-pathologizing, systemic model that can be practiced to nurture well-being for all community members at all levels of the system. Trauma informed, mindfulness based, attachment enhancing and restorative by nature, IFS is embedded in P.A.U.S.E..  As we follow P.A.U.S.E. in school, we discover that big transformation is realized through little interactions - simply by starting with ourselves, we can shift the quality of everyday relationships.  And as we know, strong connection to our students is the very foundation upon which all learning begins.

P.A.U.S.E. sets the stage for students to be curious, engaged, creative and confident again.

P.A.U.S.E. offers the hope and capacity for adults in our schools and communities to realize that we can work together to change broken systems and create welcoming learning organizations in which everyone thrives!

“I have no idea how I could have survived the pandemic without this. This time has been so intense- tons of external changes and challenges that impacted all of us emotionally, adults and students alike.  Initially I was uncomfortable looking inside myself but decided to give it a try. I am so glad I did! I've woven P.A.U.S.E. into how I take care of myself each day- I have a way to experience Self-compassion and return to my center even on those crazy days. P.A.U.S.E. has also changed the way I respond to my upset colleagues in the hallway- I can really help them. And P.A.U.S.E. gives me a totally new way to connect with the dis-regulated student who is about to throw off the whole class - in fact, now teachers down the hall call me in to help with their students! These moments that used to escalate and overwhelm have transformed into moments to reconnect with myself and others… And, needless to say, when there is connection, learning takes off!”
