A Worskhop Series to
CARE FOR YOUR SELF
and
CALL FORTH THE BEST IN YOUR FAMILY
An Invitation for You...
Join fellow parents and caregivers for this 8-module workshop to apply the P.A.U.S.E model to discover your power to be calm, connected and effective amidst the juggle of family life. Realize your capacity to access Self-leadership and transform the quality of everyday interactions to sustain a healthy and joyful family life.
In this workshop, you’ll practice, implement and experience the benefits of each of the 5 elements of P.A.U.S.E.:
What's the challenge we face as parents?
Especially with the changes of the last few years, more and more of our children are struggling with anxiety, depression, dis-regulation, dis-engagement… And as parents we are concerned, overwhelmed, maybe even exhausted. On top of this, we are juggling our personal responsibilities (work, home, health) and trying to make sense of the intensity of global affairs. Some days it just seems like too much!
So, how can we meet these challenges? What exactly is in our power? In spite of all the books and pundits, there isn’t one model or book that can tell us exactly what to say and do in every moment to get it right, understand and help our kid. And even when we can remember the right sentence to say, what really matters is our state of being, where we are coming from.
How do we shift how we are BEING together amidst all we have to DO?
What if there was guidance, a road map of sorts, on how to access your own best self, your reserves of energy, wisdom and compassion, so that regardless of what issues arose, you could practice responding from your best self - yes even in those sticky, button pushing, bewildering, “Oh Shoot - I said it again!” moments?
And what if this very same road map could help you remember and call forth the best in your child, their beautiful, worthy core, even when you are responding to hurtful words, extreme behaviors and bewildering shut downs?
Yes, we can learn to see the golden heart in our child even in a relationally difficult and stressful moment.
This IS possible and the keys are contained in the P.A.U.S.E. model.
P.A.U.S.E provides the simple but profound transformation you are looking for in parenting and family life.
By practicing P.A.U.S.E. moment to moment, you cultivate your capacity to access your best self, respond productively to others and collaborate harmoniously, at home and beyond!
The 5 essential elements of PAUSE can be applied to improve:
-
Personal well-being: Grow your capacity to be calm and confident while juggling multiple demands.
-
Everyday relationships: Whether with young people, family members, friends and colleagues, be effective and compassionate, even in those tense, complex interactions.
-
Collective collaboration: Address the root of what blocks our ability to work together, make change and move forward in our families and communities.
P.A.U.S.E. let's you access your innate resources and you realize your power to be calm, connected, and effective together as you navigate the challenges of daily life.
The P.A.U.S.E. model is inspired by IFS (Internal Family Systems). IFS is a breakthrough framework to nurture self-compassion and healthy relationships. It is a non-pathologizing, systemic model that can be practiced to nurture well-being for young people and adults.
Trauma informed, mindfulness based, attachment enhancing and restorative by nature, IFS is embedded in P.A.U.S.E.. As we follow P.A.U.S.E. in our families, we discover that big transformation is realized through little interactions - simply by starting with ourselves, we can shift the quality of everyday relationships. And as we know, strong connection to our children is the very foundation upon which all healthy development depends.
P.A.U.S.E. sets the stage for young people to be curious, creative and confident. P.A.U.S.E. offers the hope and capacity for adults in experience the compassion and courage to lead our families and release our innate potential.
